Purpose of the job
The CEO has overall responsibility for the day-to-day running of the entity to achieve budgeted profit objectives, growth targets, plus company and personnel development.
The CEO needs to establish a close working relationship with the Head of Strategy and Integration- (oil and gas), Senior Management Team (SMT), BOD and shareholders, in order that there is full transparency, complete ownership of corporate governance and a fully inclusive leadership.
The CEO needs to determine the direction of the company, in line with the overall direction of the Oil and Gas business, by working with the Group Managing Director, Oil & Gas Head of strategy and Integration & the Board of Directors and leading the team members to implement the strategies and plan, to achieve the goals and objectives that have been approved.

Duties and Responsibilities
VISION & DIRECTION
Determines the direction of the business by working with the Group MD, Head of Strategy and Integration- (oil and gas), and the BoD and leading the team members to create and implement strategies and goals.
STRATEGY & PLANNING
# Developing business strategies and plans, ensuring alignment with short-term and long-term objectives
# Monitor the implementation of approved strategies to drive the performance of the company
# Strategize Business Expansion and Initiate and set directions for operating budgets and have it approved by the Head of Strategy and Integration- (oil and gas) & the Group MD
# Provide leadership and direct all operations by developing adequate review systems and procedures to ensure efficient operations and reporting
# De-risk business through Diversification and broad basing of client base
# Identification of new opportunities
# Implement sales coverage and penetration and ensure pre-qualification/ approved supplier status is achieved whenever possible
# Maintain regular contact with the major existing and potential customers and establish close relationships with them in order to promote the business interest
INTEGRATION & COORDINATION:
# Progress integration plans (PDI+RE) as developed by Head of Strategy and Integration- (oil and gas).
# Develop interfaces between PDi and RE
# The annual budget is achieved and delivered.
# Gross margins are maximized and overhead expenditure is tightly controlled and managed
# Oversee the preparation of the annual budget, and ensure allocation of funds within budgetary constraints and report on deviations
# Overseeing all operations and business activities to ensure they produce results as planned and are consistent with the overall strategy and mission
# Set and achieve sales and profit objectives for existing business. (Defined for a time frame of 2-3 years)
# Establishing goals for each department in partnership with division managers
# Explore and identify new business opportunities within the core and related business areas and direct team in achieving organizational objectives
# Ensure effective measures in strengthening relationships and building a positive image with a focus on all stakeholders
# Review the Tendering Process
# Review Terms & Conditions Contractual and Financial for the company to engage with the customers
# Enforce adherence to legal guidelines, in-house and statutory policies to maintain the companys legal & statutory compliance
# Business Ethics Ensure that the business is run with the highest level of ethical principles
# Health, Safety, and Environment - Ensure compliance with HSE laws to help maintain secure and healthy work surroundings
# Review high-level deliverables across projects and ensure implementation of timelines & budgets
# Leadership development through Capacity Building. Building and leading the senior executive team in line with culture and performance expectations
# Builds a positive and productive culture in the workplace by listening to employee opinions, making adjustments, and recognizing the team's accomplishments
# Create a culture of continuous learning to develop individuals for organizational growth
SUPPORT FUNCTION LEADERSHIP
# Strengthen and coordinate services for support functions such as HR, Finance, Sales and Marketing, Legal, Purchase, Administration and IT for the smooth functioning of the business
SYSTEMS/MIS & REPORTING TO Head of Strategy and Integration (Oil and Gas) and Group MD
# Formulate and implement operations policies, procedures, and quality systems
# Ensure 100% compliance of systems processes
# Ensure continuous up gradation of quality of analytical reports and reviews
COORDINATION WITH GROUP COMPANIES/FUNCTIONS
# Coordinate as necessary with the Group Companies/Functions for enabling smooth operation of the business
# Uphold, promote and engender Groups Core Values and Culture.
# Build an entity of trust and open communication
# Gain the respect of the team and mentor the team to achieve superior performance
# Plan and implement high-performance work systems and initiate appropriate employee training and development initiatives to ensure the success of such programs

Capability Profile Knowledge, Skills And Experience
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
# Position requires a mature, highly qualified and enthusiastic professional with distinctive and entrenched working knowledge and interest in the Upstream Oil and Gas Engineering services segment and its dynamics.
# Position requires multifaceted experience in Operations Management, Corporate & Strategic Planning, Contracting & Procurement, and Corporate Affairs.
# Proven senior management position in a comparable company i.e., have held CEO/Managing Director position in past.
# Ideally a Process Engineer from a reputable/recognized university who has been in the Offshore Topsides Engineering Space for a min. of 15-25 years. M.Sc, MBA and International experience added advantage.
# Should have good/respectable connects to the industry to support BD activity- in India and other geographies.
# Should be commercially astute- Ts and Cs
# Should have exhibited strengths in cost control
# Would prefer a candidate who has spent time at least 5-7 years in any previous organization/s.
# Should have risen through the ranks in each of his roles and if the candidate has been on High potential training programs is a ++ (preferred)
# Should have good industry references
# Physical environment: Majority of the work is carried out in the local office in India.
# Visit clients and other geographies as and when required by the company
# Working hours according to local regulations and Company's policy.
