A seminar on ‘opportunities for employment and self-employment for retired police personnel’ was held at the Police Control Room here on Thursday. The seminar was jointly organised by Police Administration and Jabalpur Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
The seminar was conducted by Vice President of Jabalpur Chamber Himanshu Khare and the seminar was presided by Superintendent of Police Shashikant Shukla.
While addressing the seminar, Himanshi Khare said that there are a lot of opportunities open for employment for retired police personnel in Jabalpur, all it is required to upgrade the skills. He said that there are opportunities available at Educational Institutes, Hospitals, Showrooms, Malls, Hotels and industries.
On this occasion, members of Jabalpur Chamber who were representing different areas were present who were interested to give retired police personnel opportunities in their areas of employment.
Talking about the self employment Himanshi Khare emphasised over different opportunities in self employment. He said that police personnel can form a corporative society and through the society they work in different areas which can be include gas agencies, ration shop, petrol pump, multi product store, health club, school, tiffin services and more. He also told the police personnel about the government self employment schemes.
Chairman of Jabalpur Chamber Prem Dubey said that Jabalpur Police is the only department of the country which is taking an initiative for providing opportunities of job and self employment to the retired police personnel and their families. He assured full support to the police administration in this initiative and also appreciated the steps taken by Superintendent of Police.
Shashikant Shukla assured the industry trade that the retired police personnel will do their best in their establishment and will work successfully. He thanked the Chamber on the cooperation being provided in this direction.
During the seminar, retired DSP DL Tiwari and huge number of police personnel were present. Besides, the members of Jabalpur Chamber of Commerce and Industry Kamal Grover, Pankaj Maheshwari, DC Jain, Sarabjit Mokha, Amarpreet Chhabra and others were present.
