Hyderabad: The State government, which initiated the transfer of government and local body teachers last week, has so far received over 75,300 applications.
The transfers are being done within the same district by taking the erstwhile 10 districts into the account. Among the 10 districts, the highest number of applications came from Mahabubnagar, where 10,787 teachers are seeking transfer, while the least number of applications, 2,355, was received from Hyderabad.
To be eligible for transfer, a Headmaster/Headmistress Grade-II/Teacher has to complete minimum two years of service in a category of post in a school as on May 31, 2018. For a Headmaster/Headmistress who has completed five years of service in a particular school as on May 31, 2018, the transfer is compulsory.
However, a Headmaster/Headmistress who is going to retire within two years from May 31, 2018 will not be shifted until the incumbent makes a request. Similarly teachers who have completed eight years of service in a particular school as on May 31 will be transferred.
The Directorate of School Education which has received the applications is on the process of scrutinising them. Meanwhile, the district-wise vacancy list has been placed on the website http://transfers.cdse.telangana.gov.in.
Based on the applications received, provisional eligibility list as per the entitlement points (seniority list) and final vacancy list will be uploaded on the website on June 14. Teachers can submit the objections on entitlement points to Regional Joint Director of School Education/District Education Office on June 15 and 16. The final eligibility list as per the entitlement points will be available on the website on June 19.
For the first time, the teacher transfer is being done through web-based counselling. The applicants have to exercise their choice of web options from June 20 to 23 and RJDSE/DEO will issue transfer orders on June 26 after approval by the committee.
“There are a lot of apprehensions and doubts among teachers over web-based counselling as it is being held for the first time. The School Education department has to conduct a workshop and also a mock web counselling to clear doubts,” Chava Ravi, General Secretary, Telangana State United Teachers Federation said.
